The Mercedes-Benz SL 320 is part of the R129 generation, produced between 1989 and 2001, succeeding the R107. Created under the direction of designer Bruno Sacco, the R129 is distinguished by its clean lines and timeless aesthetic. Based on a shortened version of the W124 chassis, it incorporated major technological advances for its time.

Among its innovations, the R129 was the first Mercedes model to be equipped with a rollover bar that automatically retracted in the event of a rollover, ensuring optimum occupant protection without compromising the vehicle's aesthetics. It is also equipped with an electro-hydraulically operated soft top, making it easy to use. Multi-link suspension at the rear improves roadholding and driving comfort.

This example boasts just 61,000km and the Histovec report shows a steady increase in mileage since 2000. It has benefited from regular maintenance. The bodywork, in its original anthracite grey colour (172), is in good condition, as is the Java brown leather interior (274) which has retained all its nobility.
